Grenada Weddings

If you are looking for the perfect site destination for an ideal wedding and honeymoon, Grenada has much to offer. With backdrops of palm-fringed beaches and turquoise sea, verdant mountain vistas, and unforgettable sunsets, a wedding in Grenada may be the best kept secret in the Caribbean.

After three days on island, including weekends and holidays, application for a marriage license may be made in person, and stamp duty and license fees paid, at the Office of the Prime Minister at The Ministerial Complex, Botanical Gardens, St. George’s. Generally, unless either party has been divorced, the license is ready within two working days. The following documentation will be required to obtain your license:

1. Valid passports
2. Valid birth certificates
3. Sworn affidavit ( or letter from a clergy man, lawyer, or registry ) attesting that neither party has been previously married, or Decree Absolute for divorced parties.
4. Death certificate provided by widow and/or widower
5. Written parental consent by way of affidavit from a lawyer or notary public
for parties under the age of 21.
6. All documents must be in English
