To obtain a marriage license, both parties must apply in person at the Ministry of Home Affairs in Bridgetown ( 246 228 8950 ) and present the following:
- Passport, or certified birth certificate and picture I.D.
- Original divorce decree if applicable
- Death certificate for widows and / or widowers
- Letter from the person who will officiate at the ceremony
- Return airline ticket
- For a Roman Catholic wedding documents must be sent by the couple’s bishop prior to the ceremony to the bishop of Georgetown. For more information contact the Ministry of Home Affairs.
